This colorful crochet wall art will be a wonderful decoration for your home, especially for your craft room. It is a simple idea and you probably already have many of the required materials.
If you like to crochet, you likely have many crochet samples of different patterns, stitches, etc. Have you ever had any idea of using them in some way?
I have a bag with different crochet samples. They were collected over a couple of years.
They are samples from my patterns made while I was designing them, unfinished pieces, extra pieces for my photoshoots and samples from patterns I found in magazines and on the Internet.
So I decided to make Wall Décor using my stash of crochet samples. As I like to crochet appliques, I had a lot of samples of different flowers, leaves and other motifs. Almost all my samples were made from cotton threads or yarn.

How to Make Crochet Wall Art – Wall Decor
Materials I used:
For the background I used 16” x 20” canvas and I attached my crochet pieces using a hot glue gun.
You can use any canvas size you want, you can create small wall art, or if you have a lot of crochet pieces, you can use a really big canvas.
- Get all your crochet pieces and prepare them for your art. You may need to weave in the ends or block them.
Weaving in the ends was the biggest part of the work for me as I hate doing that and almost all my crochet pieces had loose tails.
- Arrange your pieces on the canvas in a way you would like.
In my opinion, the composition looks better if the crochet pieces are arranged close to each other without much white space left between them.
3. Using the glue gun, glue crochet motifs to the canvas.
Enjoy your creation!
While I was working on this Crochet Wall Art, I had another idea of how it could be used – you can play the I Spy game!
