What do you associate with winter? For me it is blue sky and sparkling white snow, falling snowflakes which you can catch with your hand, sleeping nature covered with a white cozy snow blanket, and of course, Christmas and New Year.
For this Winter Wall Art project you just need to crochet a tree and a lot of small snowflakes. Paint a canvas in some shade of light blue and then glue your tree and snowflakes to the canvas.
I was using snowflakes patterns from the book “White Christmas in Thread Crochet” by Kathryn Clark.
I was choosing small snowflakes in diameter 2-3/4” the biggest.
Materials: For the tree I’ve used crochet cotton threads size 3 and and for the snowflakes - size 10. For the background I’ve used 9 x12 canvas frames from the Michaels craft store.
Pattern for the Tree which I was using for this Crochet Wall Art can be found in my Etsy shop.
You will be enjoying you Winter Wall Art even after snow behind your window melted away!
