Have you ever considered using your crochet work as a wall art decor? Crochet is a fiber art form and I loved the idea that crochet motifs could work as a wall art.
So I decided to use my crochet designs to create wall art. Crochet motifs are great DIY projects for home decoration. I have a pattern collection of different crochet ocean motifs and I was using some of them for my projects. For a better 3D effect I was using hyperbolic corals.
I’ve glued my crochet pieces to the canvas, also you can use picture frames - new or old ones. You can glue you motifs in any pattern your imagination tells you.
Materials: For the motifs I’ve used crochet cotton threads size 3 and size 10. You can experiment with different yarns and hook sizes to achieve different looks. For the background I’ve used 8 x 8 canvas frames from Michaels craft store.
Such pieces of wall art could be beautiful addition to your bedroom or bathroom, kitchen or even your office. They will bring warmth and comfort to you house and make it unique and fashionable.
I hope this will inspire you to make beautiful wall art for your home! You can find my crochet patterns for the ocean motifs HERE and the pattern for the hyperbolic corals is FREE in my Free Patterns section.
