Ch – chain
DC – double crochet
HDC – half double crochet
Rnd – round
SC- single crochet
Sl St – slip stitch
St (Sts) – stitch (stitches)
TR – treble crochet
Finished Size:
This crochet bunny is about 2-1/2” tall (including the Ears).
Yarn:
- Patons Grace, light weight #3 yarn (100% mercerized cotton; 136 yds/124 m per 1.7 oz/50 g skein), color – snow
- Aunt Lydia’s crochet cotton thread, size 10, color – orchid pink
Hooks and other materials:
- Crochet hook 1/2.75 mm
- Crochet hook 8/1.5 mm
- Sticky-back googly eyes

Head
With white color light weight #3 yarn and hook 1/ 2.75 mm,
Ch 4;
Rnd 1. Make all of the next stitches into the fourth Ch from hook (the first Ch made) working under both loops – 3 DC, 3 HDC, Ch 1, DC (Heart point), Ch 1, 3 HDC, 3 DC, Ch 3, Sl St in center.
Rnd 2. Ch 3, HDC + DC in first St, 3 TR in next St, 2 DC in next St, HDC into each of next 3 Sts, HDC in Ch-1 St, 3 DC in next St (Heart point),
HDC in Ch-1 St, HDC into each of next 3 Sts, 2 DC in next St, 3 TR in next St, DC + HDC in next St, Ch 3, Sl St in center.
Rnd 3. Ch 3, SC in first St, 2 SC in each of next 4 Sts, SC in each of the next 6 Sts,
First Ear: Ch 10, SC in 2nd Ch, HCD in next Ch, DC in each of next 4 Chs, 4 DC in next Ch, DC in next Ch, HDC in next Ch;
SC in next St of the previous Rnd, 2 SC in next St (Heart point), SC in next St,
Second Ear: Ch 10, SC in 2nd Ch, HDC in next Ch, DC in each of next 6 Chs, HDC in next Ch;
SC in next St of the previous Rnd and in each of next 5 Sts, 2 SC in each of next 4 Sts, SC in next St, Ch 3, Sl St in center.
Fasten off.
Nose
For Bunny’s Nose, I used the same pattern that I designed earlier for Penguin’s beak.
The size of this heart is only 0.5”.
With light pink color crochet cotton thread size 10 and hook size 1.5 mm:
Start with an adjustable ring,
Rnd 1. Ch 2, make all of the next Sts into the ring: 3 HDC, 2 SC, Ch 1, HDC (Heart point), Ch 1, 2 SC, 3 HDC, Ch 2, Sl St in center.
Draw the loop tightly closed. Make sure there is no hole in the center.
Fasten off.
Finishing:
Sew on the Nose. Embellish your Bunny with crochet small Bow.
Block your crochet Bunny applique as necessary. Attach the Eyes.
