Ch – chain
DC – double crochet
HDC – half double crochet
Rnd – round
SC- single crochet
Sl St – slip stitch
St (Sts) – stitch (stitches)
TR – treble crochet
Crochet bunny is about 2-1/2” tall (including the Ears).
- Patons Grace, light weight #3 yarn (100% mercerized cotton; 136 yds/124 m per 1.7 oz/50 g skein), color – snow
- Aunt Lydia’s crochet cotton thread, size 10, color – orchid pink
Hooks and Other materials:
- Crochet hook 1/2.75 mm
- Crochet hook 8/1.5 mm
- Sticky-back googly eyes

With white light weight #3 yarn and hook 1/ 2.75 mm, Ch 4;
Rnd 1. Make all of the next stitches into the fourth Ch from hook (the first Ch made) working under both loops – 3 DC, 3 HDC, Ch 1, DC (Heart point), Ch 1, 3 HDC, 3 DC, Ch 3, Sl St in center.
Rnd 2. Ch 3, HDC + DC in first St, 3 TR in next St, 2 DC in next St, HDC into each of next 3 Sts, HDC in Ch-1 St, 3 DC in next St (Heart point), HDC in Ch-1 St, HDC into each of next 3 Sts, 2 DC in next St, 3 TR in next St, DC + HDC in next St, Ch 3, Sl St in center.
Rnd 3. Ch 3, SC in first St, 2 SC in each of next 4 Sts, SC in each of the next 6 Sts, First Ear: Ch 10, SC in 2nd Ch, HCD in next Ch, DC in each of next 4 Chs, 4 DC in next Ch, DC in next Ch, HDC in next Ch;
SC in next St of the previous Rnd, 2 SC in next St (Heart point), SC in next St, Second Ear: Ch 10, SC in 2nd Ch, HDC in next Ch, DC in each of next 6 Chs, HDC in next Ch;
SC in next St of the previous Rnd and in each of next 5 Sts, 2 SC in each of next 4 Sts, SC in next St, Ch 3, Sl St in center. Fasten off.
For Bunny’s Nose, I used the same pattern that I designed earlier for Penguin’s beak.
The size of this heart is only 0.5”.
With light pink crochet cotton thread size 10 and hook size 1.5 mm:
Start with an adjustable ring,
Rhd 1. Ch 2, make all of the next Sts into the ring: 3 HDC, 2 SC, Ch 1, HDC (Heart point), Ch 1, 2 SC, 3 HDC, Ch 2, Sl St. Draw the loop tightly closed. Make sure there is no hole in the center. Fasten off.
Sew on the Nose. Embellish your Bunny with crochet small Bow.
Block your crochet Bunny applique as necessary. Attach the Eyes.
