This crochet Snowman dog bandana and headband are other holiday accessories I designed for our dog Lucy, who is an adorable golden retriever and amateur dog photo-model.
These bandana and headband are designed for a large size dog (our Lucy is about 62 pounds). You can adapt them for any size by adjusting the collar and headband sizes.
These Christmas dog bandana and headband are easy to make and they are also a great stash buster project as they require a small amount of yarn.
If you like to crochet for your dog, make sure to check out my other patterns – pink dog bandana, Christmas dog scarf, flower dog headband and Christmas dog stocking!
I also designed a heart-shaped Paw Print applique. Such an applique can be used as an embellishment of various pets’ items or your own items as well.

About design:
This bandana is made as a collar that doesn’t require buttons or tying up. You just need to slip it over your dog’s head.
The collar part of the bandana imitates a snowman’s scarf. It has two ends attached to the collar and tied as a scarf.
The bandana has three black buttons and the headband is embellished with a crochet carrot applique.
Note:
How to adjust the size
1.When you make the Collar, make fewer or more rows depending on your dog’s neck size.
2. Bandana: in row 1 of the Bandana work SC just a couple more stitches than half of the collar length. (My collar has 54 rows, half is 27, for bandana I made 31 SC). Make sure that you have uneven number of SC.
3. Headband: make fewer or more rows.
