Ch(Chs) – chain ( chains)
DC – double crochet
DC2tog – double crochet 2 stitches together
HDC – half double crochet
SC – single crochet
Sl St – slip stitch
St – stitch
Materials:
– cotton crochet thread size 10, color – myrtle green
– cotton crochet thread size 10, color – forest green

Finished Size:
These crochet Irish leaves are about 1-3/8” (3.5 cm).
Instructions:
These leaves could be bent to the right or to the left.
Leaf with a bend to the right
Ch 12 (this is a foundation chain);
Round 1. Working under 2 loops, SC in 2nd Ch from hook and in next Ch, HDC in next 3 Chs, DC in next 3 Chs, DC2tog over next 2 Chs, 6 DC in next (last) Ch;
working on opposite side of Ch (now you are working under one loop) – 2 DC in next 3 Chs, DC in next 2 Chs, HDC in next 3 Chs, SC in next 2 Chs. Side facing you is the right side.
Round 2 – Decorative edging.
*Ch 1, Sl St in next St*, repeat from * to * around.
Center Ridge
Center ridge made with surface slip stitch technique. Ch 1 and make Sl St into bottom of the leaf. You have loop on your hook on the right side and working yarn on the wrong side.
Work along of the foundation chain with 1 St for each Ch. Insert your hook from the right side to the wrong side through the Ch of the foundation chain, yarn over on the wrong side.
Draw the yarn over loop through to the right side. Pull the yarn over through the loop on your hook (surface slip stitch made).
Keep repeating these steps to the end of the foundation chain.
Leaf with a bend to the left
Ch 12 (this is a foundation chain);
Round 1. Working under 2 loops, SC in 2nd Ch from hook and in next Ch, HDC in next 3 Chs, DC in next 2 Chs, 2 DC in next 3 Chs, 6 DC in next (last) Ch;
working on opposite side of Ch (now you are working under one loop), DC2tog over next 2 Chs, DC in next 3 Chs, HDC in next 3 Chs, SC in next 2 Chs. Side facing you is the right side.
Round 2 and Center Ridge – see Instructions above for the Leaf with a bend to the right.

Yes, pattern for the tree is the same. I’ve made four trees for each season and glued trees and leaves(or snowflakes) to the canvas.
