While I enjoy crocheting, I especially love to design appliques because it is challenging for me to create a pattern that is both attractive, do-able, and that I would feel happy sharing with others. Some of my applique patterns can be found in my Etsy store and in my Ravelry store. Free patterns are available on this website.
Appliques can be attached to other handmade projects. Also, you can use them to embellish items that you’ve bought and they will look unique, attractive and sparkling!
In this post, I will show you a couple of examples of how I embellished plain items that I bought at the store using some of my appliques. In these examples, for the embellishment, I used my favorite crochet ocean theme appliques – seashells, seahorses, starfish and coral branches. I also used beads and cute buttons in the shape of seashells and starfish.
