On August 21, 2017, North America will experience a solar eclipse. Those who live within the path of totality can see one of nature’s most amazing sights – a total solar eclipse! Within this path, the moon will completely cover the sun and the sun’s atmosphere – the corona – can be seen around the black circle.

We live about 10 miles from the path of totality, so we will have a wonderful opportunity to observe total solar eclipse.
Under a “solar eclipse” mood in our home, I created crochet Total Solar Eclipse Applique and Partial Solar Eclipse Applique. The pattern for the Partial Solar Eclipse Applique can be found HERE. You can embellish your clothing with those appliques, make a pin or use them for scrapbooking.
