Your Irish crochet flower pattern is superb! It looks really intricate and elegant. Can’t wait to try it out — it’ll be the perfect motif for a hat I crocheted months ago and couldn’t figure out what to embellish it with. Thanks so much! 🙂

P.S. Love your heart shaped appliques!

I have been trying to do this pattern and seem to be stuck on Row 2. I don’t understand why row 2 starts with ch 1, [ch 19, etc……. It seems to me that ch 1 and ch 19 should be ch 20 or has there been a step left out.

      Hi Elizabeth,
Ch 1 is a Chain at the beginning of the Round. This Chain is not a part of the steps to be repeated. After Ch 1 there is a bracket [. The steps following the bracket are to be repeated, in order, until you reach the end of the Round. So, at the beginning of the Rnd 2 you need to Chain 20 (1+19), but each of the next repeats you will have to Chain 19. Hope this will help. Please let me know if you have any more questions.

I just happen to see this Irish Crochet Flower and would love to be able to print the pattern. I tried and got just the first page of it. I have a daughter in law who is Irish and a beautiful red head like you. I have her for a Christmas ornament, this would be something unusual but something that I made for her. PLEASE let me know how to print this pattern. Thanks in advance…
