This idea for a crochet Dogwood Branch was inspired by the beauty of one of the most beautiful Spring trees – the Dogwood tree! We live in an area where dogwoods are blossoming in April through May, and we have a wonderful opportunity to enjoy these spectacular trees each year.

The Dogwoods blossoming season is very short so their beauty lasts only for a couple of weeks. After that, they are just regular trees. But by using a crochet hook and yarn, you can capture their beauty for a much longer time.
I love to use my crochet appliques for creating wall arts, and I decided to create one using my Dogwood flowers, which I designed earlier this month. Make sure to check out my other crochet wall art ideas as well!
To make this Dogwood Branch you will need to crochet a Tree Branch and Dogwood Flowers. For the Tree Branch I used a previously designed pattern for the Cherry Branch and instead of Cherry blossoms I used Dogwood flowers.
If you like my crochet Dogwood Branch and would like to make one too, you can find the pattern in my Etsy shop.
The Dogwood flower pattern is available for free on this website: Crochet Dogwood Flower Pattern

The Colors of dogwood flowers vary from shades of pink to white. For my project, I decided to make light pink flowers.
Materials I used:
For the Branch:
For the Dogwood Flowers:
- For the background I’ve used 9 x12” canvas.
- Glue Gun
After each crochet piece for your wall art has been made, you arrange them on your canvas and then secure them in place using a hot glue gun.
