This attractive crochet scarf is made from Caron Cakes yarn using broomstick lace and crossed trebles. Such combination of yarn and different stitches gives the scarf a nice texture and makes it eye catching!

ch (chs) – chain (chains)
dc – double crochet
dc2tog – double crochet 2 stitches together
hdc – half double crochet
prev – previous
sc – single crochet
sc2tog – single crochet 2 stitches together
sl st – slip stitch

tr – treble crochet
Yarn:
Caron Cakes yarn, worsted #4 weight yarn (7.1 oz/200 g, 383 yds/350 m), 1 cake Pumpkin Spice
Hook and Other Materials:
US Size H-8 (5 mm) crochet hook
Size US 50 (25 mm) knitting needles (or, broomstick lace pin size 50)

Sizes/Finished Measurements:
The scarf is about 8” (20 ½ cm) wide and 61” (155 cm) long including fringe. You can make it longer by making more repeats. Additional yarn will be needed.
Gauge:
In pattern,
26 sts = 5 ¾” (14 ½ cm)
9 rows = 4 ¾” (11 ½ cm)
Ch 26, work Row 1- Row 5, repeat Row 2 – Row 5 one time.
Gauge Swatch should measure 5 ¾” wide x 4 ¾” high (14 ½ cm x 11.5 cm), however gauge is not critical.
Notes:
- The scarf is made in two parts.
- Similar #4 weight yarns may be substituted.

The first half of the Scarf:
Ch 36,
Row 1. Sc into 2nd ch from hook and in next 34 chs – 35 sc. Side facing you is Right Side. Use a stitch marker to mark it. Do not turn.
Broomstick Rows 2 and 3.
Row 2. Working from left to right, hold broomstick needle in left hand, slip loop from crochet hook to broomstick needle. *Insert crochet hook in back loop of next st, yarn over and draw loop through, slip loop onto the broomstick needle, repeat from * across – 35 loops. Do not turn.
Row 3. Working from right to left, slide first 5 loops from broomstick needle to crochet hook, yarn over and draw loop through all 5 loops, ch 1, 5 sc in same space, *slide next 5 loops from broomstick needle to crochet hook, 5 sc through all 5 loops, repeat from * across – seven 5-loop bundles. Turn.
Row 4. Ch 4 (doesn’t count as a st), skip first, tr in next, tilt the piece toward you, tr in skipped, *skip next, tr in next, tilt the piece toward you, tr in skipped, repeat from * across to last st, tr in last – 35 tr. Turn.
Row 5. Ch 1 (doesn’t count as a st), sc in each across. Do not work into top of ch-4 of previous row – 35 sc. Do not turn.
Repeat Rows 2 – 5 eleven more times (Total – 12 repeats). Turn.
Flower Fringes:
Sc in first, *Ch 15, sl st in 4th ch from hook (create ring), [ch 3, dc2tog in the ring, ch 3, sl st in ring] 3 times, ch 12. Make sure chains are not twisted. Skip next 2 sts of previous row, sc in next. Repeat from * across to last 2 sts, sc2tog.
Fasten off. Weave in ends.
The second half of the Scarf:
With Right Side face down (beginning tail should be to the left), join yarn to first st to your right.
Row 1-2. Repeat Rows 4-5.
Repeat Rows 2 – 5 twelve times.
Make Flower Fringes.
Fasten off. Weave in ends.
