This kid’s crochet Snake seat cushion will be a beautiful accent to any kid’s room, also it will make a wonderful gift. I made this crochet cushion in rainbow colors, but you can use any color combinations you’d like.

The idea of this Snake seat cushion was brought to me by a friend. Some time ago she showed me her old knitted seat pad that her grandma made for her when she was a small child. Here is the photo of her seat pad:
My friend asked me if I could make something similar. Her old cushion reminded me of a snake curled in a circle and this gave me an idea to design the rainbow Snake seat cushion!
For this Snake kid’s seat cushion, I slightly modified the pattern for my crochet Snake toy that was published earlier.
For the Snake cushion, I recommend using a smaller hook size than for the Snake toy so the stuffing wouldn’t be visible through stitches when you shape your Snake into the circle.
Accordingly, I added 2 more stitches for the rounds. You will need to make a long Snake and then sew it into the cushion.

Notes
1.Ch 1 in the beginning of every Rnd DOESN’T count as a Stitch.
2. Join every Rnd in top of first SC.
3. How to change color: make last SC in the round, draw new color through first St of the Rnd and through the loop on the hook.
4. First, I changed color after Rnd 8, then I was changing color every 10 Rnds. You can change colors in your own way, or, you can make your Snake just in one color.
5. Don’t forget to stuff the Snake as you go!
