For this crochet Fox applique, you need to make a Face, Cheeks, Nose, and an optional Tail. You can embellish your applique with a cute crochet small Bow.

With color fiesta, Ch 4;

Rnd 2. Ch 3, in top of first St of previous Rnd make HDC+DC, 3 TR in next St, 2 DC in next St, DC in each of next 3 Sts, DC in Ch 1, DC+TR+DC in next St (Heart point), DC in Ch 1, DC in each of next 3 Sts, 2 DC in next St, 3 TR in next St, DC+HDC in next St, Ch 3, Sl St in center.
Rnd 3. Ch 3, HDC in top of first St, 2 HDC in each of next 3 Sts, HDC in each of next 8 Sts, 3 DC in next St (Heart point), HDC in each of next 8 Sts, 2 HDC in each of next 3 Sts, HDC in last St, Ch 3, Sl St in center.
Rnd 4. Ch 3, SC in top of first St, SC in next St, First Ear – Ch 5, Sl St in 2nd Ch, HDC in next 2 Chs, DC in next Ch,
skip 2 Sts of Rnd 3, SC in next St, 2 SC in next 2 Sts, SC in next 9 Sts, SC+HDC+SC in next (Heart point), SC in next 9 Sts, 2 SC in next 2 Sts, SC in next St,
Second Ear – Ch 5, Sl St in 2nd Ch, HDC in next 2 Chs, DC in next Ch,

Cheek – make 2
With color snow, make magic ring;
Rnd 1. Ch 3, 11 DC in ring, Sl St to join;
Ch 6, SC in 2nd Ch and in next Ch, HDC in next Ch, DC in next Ch, TR in next, skip 3 Sts of Rnd 1, Sl St in next.
Fasten off.
Nose
With color night, make magic ring;
Rnd 1. Ch 1, 8 SC in ring, Sl St to join.
Fasten off.
Tail
With color fiesta, Ch 25.
Rnd 1 (Right Side). HDC in 4th Ch from the hook (this will create 3-chain arch, we will use this arch later on), HDC in next Ch, DC in next, 3 DC in next, DC in next, TR in next 4 Chs, TR2tog, DC3tog, DC in next 2, HDC in next 3, SC in next 2, (2 SC + Ch 2 + 2 SC) in last Ch.
Continue on opposite side of Chain: SC in next 2, HDC in next 3, 2 HDC in next 2, DC in next 2, 2 DC in next, DC in next 3, HDC in next 3, SC2tog, Sl St in next 3. Fasten off.
With Right Side facing you, join white color into first Ch of 3-chain arch, Ch 2, yarn over, insert hook in next Ch and draw up a loop, yarn over and draw through 2 loops on hook – you have 2 loops on your hook.
Yarn over, insert hook in next Ch and draw up a loop, yarn over and draw through 2 loops on hook – you have 3 loops on your hook, yarn over and draw through 3 loops, Ch 1. Fasten off.
Finishing
Make a small heart Bow.
Sew Cheeks, Nose and Bow on Fox’s Face.
With white yarn embroider the Ears.
Sew on buttons for the eyes, or if you prefer, you can embroider them.
