Finished size:
Crochet Shamrock and Lucky Clover appliques are about 1-3/4” wide and 2” tall.
Materials:
I made my crochet Shamrock and Lucky Clover appliques with a cotton crochet thread size 10 and crochet hook size 4/2 mm. You are welcome to experiment with different yarns and hook sizes.

Instructions:
For the crochet Shamrock applique, you need to make 2 regular Hearts and one Heart with a Stem.
For the crochet Lucky Clover applique, make 3 regular Hearts and one Heart with a Stem.
Heart

Ch 4;
Rnd 1. Make all of the next stitches into the fourth Ch from hook (the first Ch made) working under both loops – 3 DC, 3 HDC, Ch 1, DC (Heart point), Ch 1, 3 HDC, 3 DC; Ch 3, Sl St in center.
Rnd 2. Ch 3, SC in first St, 2 SC in each of next 2 Sts, SC in each of next 3 Sts, SC in Ch-1 St, Ch 1, DC in next St (Heart point),
Ch 1, SC in Ch-1 St, SC in each of next 3 Sts, 2 SC in each of next 2 Sts, SC in next St, Ch 3, Sl St in center.
Fasten off and weave in the ends.
Heart with a Stem
Ch 4;
Rnd 1. Make all of the next stitches into the fourth Ch from hook (the first Ch made) working under both loops – 3 DC, 3 HDC, Ch 1, DC (Heart point), Ch 1, 3 HDC, 3 DC; Ch 3, Sl St in center.
Rnd 2. Ch 3, SC in first St, 2 SC in each of next 2 Sts, SC in each of next 3 Sts, SC in Ch-1 St, Ch 1, DC in next St (Heart point),
Ch 13 for the Stem, Sl St in 2nd Ch from the hook and in each of next 11 Chs, Sl St in top of last DC,
SC in Ch-1 St, SC in each of next 3 Sts, 2 SC in each of next 2 Sts, SC in next St, Ch 3, Sl St in center. Fasten off and weave in the ends.
Finishing
From the back side, sew the hearts together in the center and sew edges where they touch each other.
