How to Make a Watermelon Gnome
For this watermelon gnome, you will need to crochet a gnome and then embellish your gnome with watermelon craft buttons.
Skill Level:
Intermediate.
Finished Size:
This crochet watermelon gnome is about 5” tall.
Directions:
1. Make a gnome.
Materials I used:
Medium weight #4 yarn in red, white, and green colors (I used Red Heart yarn)
Crochet hook US size H/5 mm
Decorative buttons: I like to purchase my buttons on Etsy. Here are the buttons I used:
You will also need a sewing needle, matching sewing threads, a hot glue gun, and a craft cutter to remove the shanks.

2. Embellish your gnome with buttons. You can use buttons of your choice and embellish your gnome in your way.
If your buttons have shanks, you will need to cut the shanks off. Use a hot glue gun to attach the buttons.
