This Winking Face crochet Emoji is number three in my second series of crochet heart-shaped Emojis. This Emoji has a smile, and one of its eyes is winking. It is also known as the Wink Face Emoji.

The Winking Face Emoji usually used to express a hidden meaning or joke in a positive tone. This is one of my favorite Emojis as I am using it a lot in my messages!

Abbreviations:

Ch – chain
DC – double crochet
HDC – half double crochet
Rnd – round
SC – single crochet
Sl St – slip stitch
St (Sts) – stitch (stitches)
TR – treble crochet
Finished Size:
This Emoji is about 3-1/4″ (8 cm).
Materials:
- worsted medium weight yarn, color – yellow
- crochet hook H/8-5.00 mm
- cotton crochet thread size 10, color – black
- crochet hook size 6/1.8 mm

Instructions:
- With yellow worsted medium weight yarn and crochet hook H/8-5.00 mm make a Large Heart for the Emoji’s face (See Instructions for the Heart-Eyes Crochet Emoji ).
2. Make a Round Eye
Round Eye
With black cotton crochet thread size 10 and crochet hook size 6/1.8 mm – make an adjustable ring.
Ch 3, 12 DC into the ring, draw the loop closed. To make it easier to do, first untwist the tail. Then pull the tail to draw the loop tightly closed. Join with Sl St in top of Ch 3. Fasten off and weave in the ends.
3. Make Eyebrows
Eyebrow – make 2
With black cotton crochet thread size 10 and crochet hook size 6/1.8 mm – Ch 7;
Row 1. Working in a back rib of Chain, Sl St in 2nd Ch and into each Ch to the end. Fasten off and weave in the ends.
4. Make a Smile
Smile
With black cotton crochet thread size 10 and crochet hook size 6/1.8 mm – Ch 10;
Row 1. Working in back ridge of the Chain, Sl St in 2nd Ch from hook and in next Ch, SC in each of next 2 Chs, 2 SC in next Ch, SC in each of next 2 Chs, Sl St in next and in last Ch. Fasten off and weave in the ends.
5. Make Closed Eye
Closed Eye
With black cotton crochet thread size 10 and crochet hook size 6/1.8 mm – Ch 8;
Row 1. Working in a back ridge – Sl St into 2nd Ch from the hook, SC in each of 5 next, Sl St in last Ch. Fasten off and weave in the ends.
6. Sew Eyes, Eyebrows and a Smile on the Emoji’s Face.
