For the crochet lavender bookmark, I modified my previously designed pattern for the lavender flower. The original lavender flower pattern also has additional pictures and a video tutorial.
For my flower bookmarks, I prefer to use lightweight #3 cotton yarn. Also, I embellished bookmarks with various craft buttons.

Lavender Bookmark
With Color B and crochet hook C – 2.75 mm, Ch 70 (or as you desire) for the Stem. Join Color A to 15th chain.
*Ch 4, Sl St in 2nd Ch and in next Ch, skip next Ch, Sl St in same St where Ch 4 was started, skip next Ch of Stem, Sl St in next*,
repeat from * to * 6 more times, last Sl St should be made in last Ch; Ch 3, Sl St in 2nd Ch, skip next, Sl St in same.
Now continue working on opposite side of the Stem – you will insert hook into the same spots where each Ch 4 on first side was made.
Sl St in first spot, **Ch 3, Sl St in 2nd Ch and in next Ch, Ch 1, Sl St in same spot, Sl St in next spot**, repeat from ** to ** 6 more times, last repeat – fasten off after Sl St in same spot.
Make Tassel
Make the tassel in the same way as you would make fringe for a scarf. Do not make it bulky.
Cut 2 pieces of yarn approximately 4” long. Insert crochet hook F-3.75 mm through the last chain. Grab the middle of the yarn strands with the hook and bring it through the chain,
then grab the entire bunch of free ends (including ending tail), draw them through the loop and tighten. Trim tassel ends evenly.
Finishing
Weave in all ends. Block as necessary. If your buttons have shanks, cut the shanks off. Using a hot glue gun, glue the buttons to the top part of the flowers.
