This crochet Lavender pattern was designed after our family visited a beautiful lavender field in the mountains near Mt Hood, Oregon’s tallest Cascade peak.

Lavender plants in their big quantity make for a spectacular view and create an incredible smell! Seeing this amazing purple field is very impressive. You can enjoy the pictures I took at the end of this post.
Of course, after seeing those beautiful fields, I had to crochet a lavender flower. Crocheted lavender is not fragrant like the real one, but I hope you will like it anyway!

You can experiment with different yarn and hooks to make your Lavender applique in different sizes. As an example, I made my applique in two sizes.
For my first flower, I used crochet cotton thread size 10. Such applique is about 2-1/2” tall. It has a very delicate appearance. It will look great on handmade cards or can be used for scrapbooking.
Also, you can make a pin or just sew this cute small lavender bouquet on your clothes.
For my second crochet Lavender flower, I used worsted weight #4 yarn and hook 5 mm. This flower is about 6” tall.
Such applique can be used to embellish a blanket, pillow, market bag, or whatever you would like!

The lavender fields are gorgeous, I so love the smell of fresh lavender.
I’m on my second plant, we have clay soil, so I’m growing mine in pots, with half perlite.
I only water when it is dry 1″ below the surface, and it’s still dying out.
I don’t know what I’m doing wrong, but so wish I could get it to grow for me.
It’s Lavender elegance.
