This crochet daisy pincushion is about 3-3/4” in diameter
Yarn:
- Medium weight #4 yarn, color – green, white, yellow. (I used Impeccable yarn by Loops &Threads)
Hook and other materials:
- Crochet hook size 7/4.5 mm
- Stitch marker
- Poly-fil stuffing
- Small piece of cardboard (about 4” x 4”)
- Scissors
- Weighted stuffing material (I used Poly Pellets weighted stuffing beads)
- Small ziploc bag (about 2” x 3”)

- Optional – hot glue gun
- Tapestry needle
- Sewing needle

Instructions:
This pincushion consists of a bottom and a top part. The top part is embellished with a crochet daisy and ladybug buttons.
Note: The bottom and top parts are worked in continuous rounds. Use stitch marker to mark first stitch of each round.

Bottom part
With green color, make magic ring;
Round 1. Ch 1, 6 SC in magic ring.
Round 2. 2 SC in each St around. Total – 12 SC.
Round 3. [2 SC in first St, SC in next St] 6 times. Total – 18 SC.
Round 4. SC in first, [2 SC in next St, SC in each of next 2 Sts] 5 times, 2 SC in next St, SC in next St. Total – 24 Sts.
Round 5. [2 SC in first St, SC in each of next 3 Sts] 6 times. Total – 30 Sts.
Round 6. SC in first St and in next St, [2 SC in next St, SC in each of next 4 Sts] 5 times, 2 SC in next St, SC in each of next 2 Sts. Total – 36 Sts.
Round 7. [2 SC in first St, SC in each of next 5 Sts] 6 times. Total – 42 Sts.

Daisy
Center
With yellow color, make magic ring;
Round 1. Ch 2, 10 HDC in ring, join with a Sl St to first HDC. The side facing you is RS. Fasten off.
Petals
Flip the flower center over and with WS facing you, join white color to the BL of any stitch,
*Ch 8, HDC in 3rd Ch from hook, DC in next Ch, EDC in next Ch, DC in next Ch, HDC in next Ch, SC in last Ch, Sl St in BL of next St of the flower center*;
repeat from * to * around. Total – 10 petals. Fasten off.
Assembling
1. Cut out of piece of the cardboard a circle slightly smaller than diameter of the bottom.
2. Put weighted material into a small ziploc bag.
3. Place a cardboard circle inside the pincushion, and then add weighted material. Add some poly-fil stuffing.
4. With the side part of the pincushion facing you, hold the side and top parts together and single crochet around. Leave about 2” open, finish stuffing, and single crochet to close. Weave in the ends.
Finishing
Using a sewing needle and matching thread, sew a daisy onto the top of the pincushion. Then, attach ladybug buttons by either sewing or gluing them on.
