Yarn: For the heart:
- Medium weight #4 yarn, two strands held together, color – green. (I used Impeccable yarn by Loops &Threads)
For the daisy:
- Medium weight #4 yarn, one strand, colors – white, yellow
Hooks and other materials:
- Crochet hook size J-10/6 mm
- Crochet hook size E/3.5 mm
- Sewing needle
- Sewing thread
- Yarn needle

Instructions:
To make this ornament, we will need to crochet a heart for the base and a daisy. Then, sew daisy and ladybug buttons onto the heart base.

Heart
With two strands of medium weight #4 yarn held together in green and crochet hook size J-10/6 mm, make magic ring;
Round 1. Ch 3, make all of the next stitches into the ring – 3 DC, 3 HDC, Ch 1, DC (Heart point), Ch 1, 3 HDC, 3 DC; Ch 3, Sl St in ring.
Round 2. Ch 3, (HDC, DC) in first Stitch, 3 TR in next St, 2 DC in next St, HDC in each of next 3 Sts, HDC in Ch-1, (HDC, DC, HDC) in next St (Heart point), HDC in Ch-1, HDC in each of next 3 Sts, 2 DC in next St, 3 TR in next St, (DC, HDC) in next St, Ch 3, Sl St in center.
Round 3. Ch 3, HDC in first St, 2 HDC in each of next 5 Sts, HDC in each of the next 6 Sts, (HDC, DC, HDC) in next St (Heart point), HDC in each of the next 6 Sts, 2 HDC in each of next 5 Sts, HDC in next St, Ch 4, Sl St in center. Fasten off.
Cut off the yarn leaving 7”- 8” tail. Make a hanging loop by using two yarn ends.
Secure the magic ring, weave in the ends. Fasten off.
Daisy
Center
With yellow color and crochet hook E – 3.5 mm, make magic ring;
Round 1. Ch 3, 12 DC in ring, join with a Sl St to top of Ch 3. The side facing you is RS. Fasten off.
Petals
Use crochet hook E-3.5 mm. With WS of the flower center facing you, join white color to the BL of any stitch,
*Ch 10, HDC in 3rd Ch from hook, DC in next Ch, EDC in next 2 Chs, DC in next 2 Chs, HDC in next Ch, SC in last Ch, Sl St in BL of next St of the flower center*; repeat from * to * 5 more times. Total – 6 petals. Fasten off.
Finishing
Sew the daisy onto the heart. Then, sew on the ladybug craft buttons.
