I created this charming crochet fuchsia heart ornament using a pattern that I had designed earlier for the fuchsia flower. To make this ornament even more unique, I added a hummingbird pin to it, as fuchsias are known to attract these beautiful tiny birds.

Fuchsia
The pattern for the fuchsia was published earlier and can be found in this post: crochet fuchsia applique.
Materials:
- Aunt Lydia’s crochet thread size 10, colors – Hot Pink, Purple, Myrtle green, French Rose
- Crochet hook size 6/1.8 mm
- 10/0 Czech seedbeads – 9 pieces
- Beeding needle
- Stitch marker
Notes:
For the fuchsia applique, I made two open flowers, one closed flower, and five leaves. Also I skipped a stem.
Stamens and pistils. For each flower, make two stamens and one pistil. Cut the thread about 4-5” long for each stamen and pistil and make a knot on one end. Then, thread one seedbead on the thread. Thread another tail end into the sewing needle and sew the stamen (pistil) to the bottom part of the flower from the back. Make stamens about 1” long and pistil about 1-1/4”.
Finishing
With a sewing needle and matching sewing threads, sew fuchsia flowers and leaves onto the heart. Attach hummingbird pin.
