Snowdrops are blooming in my garden and I couldn’t resist making this beautiful crochet Spring Heart embellished with my Snowdrop applique. I designed this Snowdrop pattern earlier, and its tiny white flowers are made in the shape of a heart!

This Heart is about 4.5” (12 cm) without a hanging loop.
Yarn:
- Medium weight #4 yarn, two strands held together. I used Caron One Pound, color – mango
- Crochet cotton thread size #10. I used Aunt Lydia’s cotton threads size #10, colors – white, myrtle green
Hooks and other materials:
- Crochet hook size J-10/6 mm
- Crochet hook size 6/1.8 mm
- Sewing needle
- Sewing threads

To make this crochet Spring wall decor, you will need to crochet a Heart and Snowdrops and then sew them on the heart.
Heart
With two strands of medium weight yarn held together and crochet hook size J-10/6 mm, make magic ring;
Rnd 1. Make all of the next stitches into the ring – Ch 3, 3 DC, 3 HDC, Ch 1, DC (Heart point), Ch 1, 3 HDC, 3 DC, Ch 3, Sl St.
Rnd 2. Ch 3, HDC + DC in first St, 3 TR in next St, 2 DC in next St, HDC in each of next 3 Sts, HDC in Ch-1 stitch, HDC+DC+HDC in next St (Heart point),
HDC in Ch-1 stitch, HDC in each of next 3 Sts, 2 DC in next St, 3 TR in next St, DC + HDC in next St, Ch 3, Sl St in center.
Rnd 3. Ch 3, HDC in first St, 2 HDC in each of next 5 Sts, HDC in each of the next 6 Sts, HDC+DC+HDC in next St (Heart point),
HDC in each of the next 6 Sts, 2 HDC in each of next 5 Sts, HDC in next St, Ch 4, Sl St in center.
Cut off leaving about 6”- 8” yarn ends to make a hanging loop. Secure and fasten off beginning end.
Snowdrops
Follow the Instructions I published earlier: Crochet Snowdrop applique pattern.
Finishing
Using saved yarn ends, make a hanging loop.
With a sewing needle and matching sewing threads, sew on Snowdrops on the heart. Do not sew on tight.
Hang your crochet Spring Heart on the wall and enjoy!
