I made this crochet Mother’s Day Heart to celebrate the most important woman in my life. My mother and I are on different continents and this holiday is always a little sad for me. But no matter how far apart we are, my mom is always with me in my heart.
I made this crochet Mother’s Day Heart using the same heart pattern that I used to make my Spring snowdrop heart. I embellished this heart with my mom’s favorite crochet Lilac flowers.
Although I made this heart for Mother’s Day, it also will make a great gift for any other occasion.

To make this crochet Mother’s Day heart, you will need to crochet a heart and lilac flowers. Then sew the flowers on the heart. If you wish, you can embellish your heart with beads and fun buttons as I did.

Rnd 1. Make all of the next stitches into the ring – Ch 3, 3 DC, 3 HDC, Ch 1, DC (Heart point), Ch 1, 3 HDC, 3 DC, Ch 3, Sl St.
Rnd 2. Ch 3, HDC + DC in first St, 3 TR in next St, 2 DC in next St, HDC in each of next 3 Sts, HDC in Ch-1 stitch, HDC+DC+HDC in next St (Heart point),
HDC in Ch-1 stitch, HDC in each of next 3 Sts, 2 DC in next St, 3 TR in next St, DC + HDC in next St, Ch 3, Sl St in center.
Rnd 3. Ch 3, HDC in first St, 2 HDC in each of next 5 Sts, HDC in each of the next 6 Sts, HDC+DC+HDC in next St (Heart point),
HDC in each of the next 6 Sts, 2 HDC in each of next 5 Sts, HDC in next St, Ch 4, Sl St in center.
Cut off leaving two yarn ends about 6”- 8” to make a hanging loop. Fasten off remaining ends. Secure and fasten off beginning end.
Follow the Instructions I published earlier: Lilac Flowers Crochet Pattern
Using two saved yarn ends, make a hanging loop.
With a sewing needle and matching sewing threads, sew on crocheted Lilacs on the heart.
Embellish the heart with beads and buttons.
That’s it! Your Mother’s Day heart is complete!
