Lilac is one of my favorite spring flowers and it blooms at the same time as we celebrate Mother’s Day.
The lilac also is my mom’s favorite, so I created a few Mother’s Day designs and incorporated crocheted lilac flowers into them. Here are my Mother’s Day lilac projects: DIY Mother’s Day card embellished with crochet lilac flowers, crochet lilac mini pillow, crochet lilac snow globe, and crochet Mother’s Day heart ornament.
Crochet Scandinavian gnomes have become very popular to crochet. As I love to design appliques from heart-shaped elements, I decided to create my own version of the gnome using a heart theme.
The heart gnome pattern has become popular, and I now have it in Christmas, Valentine’s Day, and now Mother’s Day themes. Here are my gnome designs: Christmas Heart Gnome, Valentine’s Day Heart Gnome, St. Patrick’s Day Heart Gnome, and Easter Heart Gnome.
My Mother’s Day gnome is made from the same pattern as my original Christmas gnome.
It consists of a hat, beard, body, and nose that are crocheted separately and then sewn together. The hat is embellished with crochet lilac flowers.
