DIY Mother’s Day Cards Embellished with Crochet Appliques

Over a few years, I have designed many crochet heart-shaped appliques that are perfect for card embellishments. I used some of those appliques for my handmade Christmas cards and Valentine’s Day cards.

If you love to crochet, you can use my crochet applique patterns to create unique handmade Mother’s day cards to impress your mom and to create a personalized expression of your love for her.

For my DIY Mother’s cards I didn’t use any special tools like punches, die-cutters, or rubber stamps. But if you have those tools and would like to use them, you can add additional elements to your cards as you wish.

You also don’t need to be limited with my design ideas. Be creative and use your tools and materials as you desire!

The messaging on the cards can be computer-generated or hand-written. I type messages in a Word document, then I print them and cut them out with decorative-edged scissors that I have at home.

If you have beautiful handwriting, you can write the messages by hand for the added personal touch.

For your Mother’s Day cards you can use cardstock colored paper or use store-bought blank cards. If you are planning to use card stock, you will need a paper trimmer.
