By making Christmas cards for your friends and family, you create a more personal impression. Of course, it is easier and far less time consuming to buy a card at the store.
Presenting a handmade Christmas card to someone says “you are special to me” in a way that no store purchased card can.
For my DIY Christmas cards I didn’t use any special tools like punches, die-cutters, or rubber stamps. But if you have those tools and would like to use them, you can add any additional elements to your cards as you wish.
You don’t need to be limited to my designs. Be creative and use tools and materials as you wish!
The messaging on the cards can be computer-generated or hand-written. I type messages in a Word document using different fonts. Then I print them and cut them out with decorative-edged scissors.
If you have beautiful handwriting – write the messages by hand for the added personal touch.
For your handmade Christmas cards, you can use cardstock colored paper or use store-bought blank cards. If you are planning to use card stock, you will need a paper trimmer.
You also can embellish your Christmas cards with stickers or sequins if you have them on hand.
