Christmas Tree is about 3” tall.
Instructions:
Row 1. Ch 4; working under 2 loops, 2 DC into 4th Ch from the hook. Turn.
Row 2. Ch 3 (counts as first DC here and throughout), 2 DC into last St of previous Row, DC in next St, 3 DC in top of Ch 3 at the beginning of previous Row. Total – 7 DC (including 3Ch as first DC). Turn.
Row 3. Ch 3, 2 DC into last St of previous Row, DC in next 5 Sts, 3 DC in top of Ch 3 at the beginning of previous Row. Total – 11 DC. Turn.
Row 4. Ch 3, 2 DC into last St of previous Row, DC in next 9 Sts, 3 DC in top of Ch 3 at the beginning of previous Row. Total – 15 DC. Turn.
Row 5. Sl St into last St of previous Row and into each of next 5 Sts, Ch 3, 2 DC into same St, DC in next 3 Sts, 3 DC into next St. Total – 9 DC. Turn.
Row 6. Ch 3, 2 DC into last St of previous Row, DC in next 7 Sts, 3 DC in top of Ch 3 at the beginning of previous Row. Total – 13 DC. Turn.
Row 7. Ch 3, 2 DC into last St of previous Row, DC in next 11 Sts, 3 DC in top of Ch 3 at the beginning of previous Row. Total – 17 DC. Turn.
Row 8. Ch 3, 2 DC into last St of previous Row, DC in next 15 Sts, 3 DC in top of Ch 3 at the beginning of previous Row. Total – 21 DC. Turn.
Row 9. Sl St into last St of previous Row and into each of next 5 Sts, Ch 3, 2 DC into same St, DC in next 9 Sts, 3 DC into next St. Total – 15 DC. Turn.
Row 10. Ch 3, 2 DC into last St of previous Row, DC in next 13 Sts, 3 DC in top of Ch 3 at the beginning of previous Row. Total – 19 DC. Turn.
Row 11. Ch 3, 2 DC into last St of previous Row, DC in next 17 Sts, 3 DC in top of Ch 3 at the beginning of previous Row. Total – 23 DC. Turn.
Row 12. Ch 3, 2 DC into last St of previous Row, DC in next 21 Sts, 3 DC in top of Ch 3 at the beginning of previous Row. Total – 27 DC.
The Trunk
Join brown color to the 12th St of the last Row, Ch 3, DC into same St, DC in each of next 3 Sts, 2 DC into next St.
Fasten off and weave in the ends.
You can embellish your tree with crochet ornaments, beads or spangles.
Crochet Ornaments
Start with an adjustable ring.
Rnd 1. Ch 2, 10 HDC into a ring. Draw the loop closed. To make it easier to do, first, untwist the tail.
Then pull the tail to draw the loop closed tightly, pull the tail from back side to draw the loop closed tightly.
Join with Sl St in top of Ch 2.
Fasten off and weave in one end. Leave the second end to be long enough to sew the ornament to the tree.
Make as many ornaments as you would like.
Sew them on the tree.
