Ch – chain
DC – double crochet
DTR – double treble crochet
SC – single crochet
Sl St – slip stitch
St(s) – stitch(es)
TR – treble crochet
Materials:
For the body:
Crochet cotton threads size 10
Crochet hook 1.8 mm
For the tail:
Worsted light soft baby yarn
Crochet hook size 2.75 mm

This Easter Bunny Applique is about 1-3/4” (4.5 cm) tall.
Instructions:
With crochet hook 1.8 mm and crochet cotton thread size 10, make an adjustable ring.

Round 1. Ch 3 (counts as first DC), 12 DC into ring, draw the loop closed, Sl St in top of Ch 3. Total – 13 Sts.
Round 2. Ch 1, SC into same St, SC into next St, *2 SC into next St, SC into each of next 2 Sts*, repeat from * to * 3 more times (work last SC in Sl St at the end of previous round). Join with Sl St in top of first SC. Total – 18 Sts.
Round 3. Ch 1, SC into same St, SC into next St, *2 SC into next St, SC into each of next 2 Sts*, repeat from * to * 4 more times, 2 SC into next St and SC into last St (work last SC in Sl St at the end of previous round). Join with Sl St in top of first SC. Total – 25 Sts.
Head. Ch 3, TR into same St, 3 TR into next St.
Ears. **Ch 5, DTR into the top of the last TR of the Head (see Instructions below), Ch 5, Sl St into the top of the last TR of the Head**. Repeat from ** to ** for the second Ear. Fasten off.
When instructed to work into the top of a stitch, insert hook under two loops highlighted in green in direction of the arrow.
Tail – with crochet hook size 2.75 mm, join worsted yarn where the tail will be placed, Ch 3, DC into same St, Ch 1, Sl St into same St. Fasten off.
Finishing
Embroider the eye.
Block your crochet Bunny applique as necessary.

This yellow Bunny was made with Red Heart worsted yarn medium weight 4, it is about 4.5” (11 cm) tall.

To block your crochet appliques, gently submerge them in cold water, allow them to soak thoroughly. Roll them in a towel to remove water, shape them and lay them on a flat surface. Allow to dry completely.
