To make these Easter egg emojis, you will need to crochet an Egg and then, make an Egg Emoji of your choice by using patterns for the eyes, lips, brows, etc.

DC – double crochet
EDC – extended double crochet
HDC – half double crochet
Rnd – round
SC- single crochet
Sl St – slip stitch
St (Sts) – stitch (stitches)

Finished Size:
This crochet Easter egg emoji is about 5-1/2″ (14 cm) tall.

- worsted medium weight yarn, color – yellow
- cotton crochet thread size 10, colors – red, blue, white, pink, and black

How to make an Extended Double Crochet (EDC)
The extended double crochet stitch is a taller variation of standard double crochet.
- Yarn over. Insert the hook into the next stitch, yarn over, and draw the yarn through the stitch. There are now 3 loops on the hook.
- Yarn over and draw the yarn through the first loop on the hook. There are now 3 loops on the hook.
- Yarn over and draw the yarn through 2 loops on the hook. There are now 2 loops on the hook.
- Yarn over and draw the yarn through the 2 remaining loops on the hook.

With hook size H/8-5.00 mm and yellow medium weight yarn, make an adjustable ring.
Rnd 1. Ch 3 (counts as first DC), 11 DC into the ring. Draw the loop closed. To make it easier to do, first untwist the tail. Then pull the tail to draw the loop tightly closed. Join with Sl St into top of the Ch-3 at beginning of the Rnd. Total – 12 DC.
Rnd 2. Ch 3(counts as first DC), DC into same place, 2 DC into each St around, Join with Sl St into top of the Ch-3 at beginning of the Rnd. Total – 24 DC.
Rnd 3. Ch 3 (counts as first DC), DC into same place, DC into next St, 2 DC into next St, DC into next St, EDC+TR+EDC into next St (this is Egg’s top), [DC into next St, 2 DC into next St] – 4 times, EDC+TR into next St, [TR into next St, 2 TR into next St] – 2 times, TR into next St, TR+EDC into next St, [2 DC into next St, DC into next St] – 2 times. Join with Sl St into top of the Ch-3 at beginning of the Rnd. Total – 38 Sts.
Rnd 4. Ch 1, SC into same place, SC into each of next 6 Sts, 3 SC into next St (Egg’s top), SC into each of next 6 Sts, [2 SC into next St, SC into each of next 2 Sts] – repeat to the end of the round, Sl St into Ch 1 at beginning of the Rnd.
Rnd 5. Decorative edging. *Ch 1, Sl St in next St*, repeat from * to * around.
Fasten off and weave in the ends.
