In this post, you will find a step-by-step photo tutorial on how to crochet twisted single crochet stitch. This stitch creates a beautiful crochet edging, and it is a great alternative to the crab stitch (also known as the reverse single crochet stitch).

How to Crochet Twisted Single Crochet Stitch
1. Insert the hook in next stitch, like you would do for regular single crochet. Yarn over and pull up a loop. You have 2 loops on your hook (keep both loops on hook loose),

2. Turn the hook 360° counter clockwise (loops remain on hook),

3. Yarn over and pull a yarn through both loops. It can be difficult to pull through the loops on the hook after the twist, so be sure to keep both those loops loose.
