This crochet pattern is for a beautiful Christmas coaster that will add a lovely touch to your holiday home decor or make a sweet gift for others. The coaster has a beautiful texture and can be made using leftover yarns.
I made my coasters in traditional Christmas colors, but feel free to get creative with other color combinations.

Notes:
1. Crochet over your yarn ends – by crocheting over them as you go, you’ll reduce the number of ends to weave in.
2. How to join with Sl St: make a slip knot and take it off the hook, insert the hook in specified stitch (space) and then place a slip knot on the hook, draw the slip knot through the stitch (space).
Special Stitches:
Puff Stitch (Puff)
- [YO, insert hook in the specified stitch, YO and pull up a loop] 3 times in the same stitch – you should have 7 loops on your hook.
- YO and draw through all 7 loops on hook.
- Ch 1 to close Puff.
Standing DC
- Make a slip knot.
- YO, holding loop on hook, insert hook in specified stitch (space).
- YO and pull up a loop (you have 3 loops on hook).
- [YO and draw through 2 loops on hook] twice.
The video tutorial for the Standing DC is available HERE.
