My crochet wall art received a second prize and a red ribbon! I was very excited by this as it was my first time entering such an event and I did not know what to expect.
Flowers are very popular motifs to crochet. You can find all kinds of flower patterns on the Internet and in books. For this project you can use the same flower patterns I used, or you can use any other your favorite patterns.

How to Make Crochet Flower Field Wall Art
For this flower crochet wall art, you need to crochet many different flowers and stems. These are then glued to a canvas and embellished with cute buttons.

Materials I used
For this project I used various cotton yarn in different weights:
Lily Sugar’N Cream medium weight #4 yarn,
Lion Brand 24/7 medium #4 yarn,
Paton’s Grace light weight #3 yarn,
Aunt Lydia’s crochet thread #3,
Aunt Lydia’s crochet thread #10.
For the background I used an 18” x 24” canvas that I purchased at our local Michael’s store.
You will also need a hot glue gun and glue sticks.
Lastly, you will need cute buttons of your choice. For this project I used small ladybug and butterfly buttons.

Crochet Irish rose
I made these roses with 2 and 3 layers. Materials: Paton’s Grace light weight #3, Aunt Lydia’s crochet thread #3, and Aunt Lydia’s crochet thread #10.

Materials: Lion Brand 24/7 and Paton’s Grace cotton.

Heart flower
I made these flowers with round centers. Materials: Aunt Lydia’s crochet thread #10.

Five petals flower – option 1
Materials: Sugar’n Cream medium weight #4 yarn, Lion Brand 24/7 medium #4 yarn, Paton’s Grace light weight #3.

Five petals flower – option 2
Materials: Sugar’n Cream medium weight #4 yarn, Lion Brand 24/7 medium #4 yarn, Paton’s Grace light weight #3.

For the stems, crochet chains with green color light weight #3 yarn.
2. Block all flowers to proper shape.
3. Arrange all pieces on canvas as you desire.
4. Using a hot glue gun, glue the appliques to the canvas
5. Add buttons if you wish.
6. Hang your flower crochet wall art up on the wall and enjoy it!
