Make this cute crochet Mushroom Christmas Ornament to add some magic and natural beauty to your holiday. Mushrooms have always been part of Christmas decor, and in recent years, they have become especially trendy.
In some cultures, mushroom Christmas ornaments symbolize luck, blessings, and good fortune. My crochet mushroom design has a heart-shaped cap, adding an extra touch of love to your holiday decor.

To create this crochet mushroom Christmas ornament, I used a previously designed pattern for the heart mushroom applique. The pattern is free and the link can be found in the Pattern I Used section below.
In addition to ornaments, these crochet mushrooms can be used to create a mushroom garland for your Christmas tree, incorporated into your Christmas wreath embellishment, added to handmade greeting cards, or used to embellish your present packaging.
I made my crochet mushroom Christmas ornament in classic red and white colors, perfect for the traditional candy cane style decor. To make it more “Christmassy”, I used tiny snowflake buttons for the white spots on the mushroom’s cap.
However, you don’t have to limit yourself to only red and white. Feel free to use any colors you prefer and use beads or small white buttons instead of snowflakes.

Pattern I used:
To make a crochet mushroom Christmas ornament, I used my mushroom applique pattern which is available for free on my website. The free pattern can be found here: heart mushroom applique crochet pattern.
If you prefer a print-friendly, styled and advertisement-free PDF file, you can purchase it on Etsy or Ravelry.
2. Block and stiffen your mushroom.
3. If you are using small snowflakes with shanks, cut the shanks off. Next, use a hot glue gun to attach the snowflakes to the cap. If you are using beads or small round buttons, sew them onto the cap.
