These crochet Winter ornaments are a beautiful project to make for the Holidays! Besides home decor, they also will make cute small gifts for your friends and family.
After I published my crochet Fall ornaments, I received multiple requests for Winter-themed ones. After thinking about this, I designed two ornaments in a “Let it Snow!” theme to bring some white winter to your homes!

Below you will find two Winter ornament designs – a Snowman Catching Snowflakes ornament and a Christmas Trees ornament.
The Snowman Catching Snowflakes ornament has a crochet snowman applique with its arms up and trying to catch snowflakes.
The Christmas trees ornament has a crochet Christmas tree applique and Christmas tree craft buttons.
For the snowflakes on both ornaments, I used small snowflake buttons. I love craft buttons and use them in many of my crochet designs.

Skill Level:
Intermediate.

This crochet Winter ornament is about 5-1/4” in diameter without a hanging loop.
Notes:
To make these crochet Winter ornaments, you will need to crochet the ornament base, Snowman or Christmas Tree applique, and sew the applique onto the base. Then embellish the ornaments with craft buttons.
How to sew applique to the ornament. Make sure to block your applique first. Using a sewing needle and matching thread, stitch the applique around the perimeter, then make a couple of stitches in the middle of the applique to make it lay flat.
Buttons. I like to buy buttons on the Etsy website, some of my favorites can be found HERE.
For the snowflakes on both ornaments, I used Mini Snowflakes Buttons 3/8” in diameter. Also, I used two Christmas tree buttons for the Christmas Trees ornament.
