Start with magic ring;

Ch 1, Sl St to 3rd chain of Ch 4 at the beginning. Tighten the magic ring.
Rnd 2. Ch 4, SC in space before next St, SC in each of next 3 Sts, 2 SC in each of next 2 Sts, SC in next St, Ch 3, Sl St in magic ring, Ch 3, SC in next St, 2 SC in each of next 2 Sts, SC in each of next 3 Sts, SC in space before next St, Sl St to 3rd chain of Ch 4 at the beginning.
Ch 60 (or as long as you like). Fasten off.
Tassel
Make the tassel in the same way as you would make fringe for a scarf. Do not make it bulky. Cut 2 pieces of yarn approximately 4” long.
Use crochet hook F-3.75 mm.
Insert your crochet hook through the last chain. Grab the middle of the yarn strands with the hook and bring it through the chain, then grab the entire bunch of free ends (including the ending tail), draw them through the loop and tighten. Trim tassel ends evenly.
Finishing
Weave in all ends. Block your bookmark as necessary.
If your button has shanks, cut the shanks off. Using a hot glue gun, glue the button to the heart.
If you have sew-through button, you can sew it on instead of gluing it.
I hope you enjoyed this heart bookmark free crochet pattern!

Happy Crocheting!
