Materials:
- Cotton light-weight #3 yarn, colors – red (A), pink (B). I used Patons Grace light-weight #3 cotton yarn.
- Crochet hook size 2.75 mm

With color A, Ch 4;
Round 1: Working under two loops, make all of the next stitches into the fourth Ch from hook – 3 TR, 3 DC, Ch 1, TR, Ch 1, 6 DC; Ch 2, Sl St in center.
Round 2: Ch 3, (HDC+DC) in first St, 3 TR in next St, 2 DC in next St, HDC in next St, SC in each of next 2 Sts, SC in Ch-1 space, Ch 1, DC in next St, Ch 1, SC in Ch-1 space, SC in each of next 3 Sts, 2 SC in next St, 3 SC in next St, 2 SC in next St, Ch 3, Sl St in center.
Round 3: Ch 3, SC in first St, 2 SC in each of next 4 Sts, SC in each of the next 6 Sts, SC in Ch-1 space, Ch 1,
Heart point: DC in next St, Ch 2, Sl St in 2nd Ch from hook, Sl St in the top of the last DC, Sl St into post of last DC, Ch 1,
SC in Ch-1 space, SC in each of next 8 Sts, 2 SC in next St, SC in next St, 2 SC in next St, Ch 3, Sl St in center. Fasten off color A.
Round 4 – Decorative Edging: Draw color B through the center of the heart, Ch 3, Sl St in first St, *Ch 1, Sl St in next St*. Repeat from * to * until you reach point of the heart, **Ch 1, Sl St in the top St of the heart point** twice, repeat from * to * two more times, skip next St, repeat from * to * to the end of round, Ch 3, Sl St in center. Fasten off and weave in the ends.
Finishing
Block your applique as necessary.

would like clarification on the decorative edging in the pattern it says thatb when you get to the pointyou are to ch1 ,ss in the top stitch of the heart 2 times should it not say into the top st of the point ? looking at the pictures in this post I do not see where you have a string or stitch dragged across the center of the heart to reach the top st of the heart.THANK YOU
