DC – double crochet

Sl St – slip stitch
St (Sts) – stitch (stitches)

This crochet sunflower is about 4” (10 cm) in diameter
Yarn:
Medium weight #4 yarn. Color A – brown, Color B – yellow (I used Knit Picks Dishie medium weight #4 100% cotton yarn)
Hook and other materials:
- US size 8 (4.5 mm) crochet hook

Instructions:
With Color A, make magic ring,
Round 1. Center of the flower. RS. Ch 2 (does not count as a St), make 10 HDC2tog in ring, join with Sl St to top of first cluster. Total – 10 HDC2tog clusters. Cut yarn and fasten off. Flip the center so the WS is facing you.
Round 2. Petals. Join Color B to top of any cluster, *Ch 7, Sl St in 2nd Ch from the hook, SC in next Ch, DC in next Ch, EDC in next Ch, DC in next Ch, HDC in last Ch, Sl St in top of the next cluster,* repeat from * to * 9 more times, last repeat – make last Sl St in same place as you joined. Total – 10 petals. Cut yarn and fasten off.
Finishing
Weave in all ends. Block your sunflower to proper shape.
