Lavender – make 3
Use crochet thread size #10 and crochet hook 6/1.8 mm. The instructions and video tutorial have been published in this post: lavender applique crochet pattern.
Using a sewing needle and matching thread, sew lavender flowers onto the sachet.
Drawstring
Using crochet thread size #10 in Color B and crochet hook 6/1.8 mm, make a chain about 14” (35.5 cm) long.
Insert the drawstring: weave the string through the second row from the top, starting from the side. Begin by drawing the string under the first double crochet and then over the next double crochet. Continue this pattern all the way around.
Lavender sachet insert
Cut a round piece of cotton cheesecloth to measure approximately 8” (20 cm) in diameter. Place dried lavender in the center of the cheesecloth. Gather all the edges together into a bundle and tie them with a piece of yarn. Place the filled insert inside the sachet.
