This delicate crochet Snowflake Heart will make a great decoration for Christmas, Valentine’s Day, Winter birthdays, or weddings.
This pattern is my second romantic design that incorporates the snowflake and the heart. My first design is a snowflake with a single central heart and can be found in this post – crochet Heart Snowflake.

Make a magic ring;
Rnd 1. Ch 1, 12 SC in magic ring, Sl St to first SC to join.
Rnd 2. **Ch 5, Sl St in 3rd Ch from hook, *Ch 3, Sl St in 3rd Ch from hook*, repeat from * to * one more time, Sl St in remaining two Chs of Ch 5, Sl St in next 2 Sts of previous Rnd**, repeat from ** to ** 5 more times. Fasten off.
Heart
Join to any point of the snowflake, Ch 50, skip 2 points to the right, join with Sl St to next point;
Row 1. Sl St in 1st Ch, SC in each of next 15 Chs, [2 SC in next, SC in next] 7 times,
insert hook in next Ch, YO and draw up the yarn – you have 2 loops on your hook, skip next 2 Chs, insert hook in next Ch, YO and draw up the yarn – you have 3 loops on your hook, YO and draw the yarn through all 3 loops on the hook, slightly pull 2 skipped chains down to create a small inner point,
[SC in next Ch, 2 SC in next] 7 times, SC in next 2, Sl St into the point where you joined.Fasten off and weave in the ends.
Finishing
The heart MUST be blocked and stiffened to achieve the desired effect.
Soak the heart with liquid starch. Gently squeeze out any excess liquid. Shape heart with your hands and place it on the blocking mat. Using rustproof pins, pin the heart to shape. Allow to dry completely before removing it.
Using sewing thread and sewing needle, attach the string to the 6th St counting to the left side from middle.

I seem to have 15 extra chain stitches somehow. Did I miss a step somewhere?
GoldenLucyCrafts says
You probably did. You are not suppose to have extra chains. Try to follow the instructions precisely.
