Ghost with arms
Beginning Ch 1 does not count as a St.
With medium weight #4 yarn inwhite and crochet hook size 7/4.5 mm, Ch 9;
Row 1. SC in 2nd Ch from hook and in each of next 7 Chs. Total – 8 SC. Turn.
Row 2. Ch 1, SC in first St and in each of next 6 Sts, 3 SC in next St, continue working around – 2 SC in next St, SC in each of next 7 Sts. Total – 19 SC. Turn.
Row 3. Ch 1, SC in first St and in each of next 6 Sts, [2 SC in next St, SC in next St] twice, 2 SC in next St, SC in each of next 7 Sts. Total – 22 SC. Turn.
Row 4. Ch 3, Sl St in 2nd Ch from hook, SC in next Ch, HDC in each of next 2 Sts, SC in each of next 3 Sts,
First arm – Ch 5, Sl St in 2nd Ch from hook and in each of next 3 Chs;

continue working across the bottom (you will be working into row-end Sts) – HDC in next St, Sl St in next St, [2 HDC in next St, Sl St in next St] 3 times. Fasten off.
You can add a hat to your ghost. Pattern for the hat is HERE. You can embellish the ghost with Halloween-themed decorative buttons or small flowers.
Small flower – make 3
With crochet thread size 10 and crochet hook size 8/1.5 mm, make a magic ring,
Round 1. [Ch 3, DC2tog in ring, Ch 3, Sl St in ring] 5 times. Fasten off. Close the ring and secure it.
Using a bead needle, thread a seed bead onto the beginning tail and sew it to the flower center.
Finishing
Shape and block your applique. Sew a hat onto the ghost.
Attach decorative buttons by either sewing or gluing. If you are going to glue buttons and the buttons have shanks, you will need to remove them. Remove the shanks using a wire cutter. Then, with a hot glue gun, attach buttons to the ghost.
Glue on the googly eyes.
Either glue or sew on flowers.
