I like Halloween, but I don’t like the creepy part of this holiday. That is why all my Halloween designs are cute and fun.
More crochet ideas for this holiday can be found in this Halloween crochet pattern collection.
The black cat is a classic Halloween character and a symbol of bad luck. But did you know that in Ancient Egypt people believed that black cats can bring their owners good luck?
By the way, if you want to attract good fortune, I have other lucky designs for you – a crochet Horseshoe applique and a crochet Lucky Clover applique!
Using this crochet Black Cat pattern, you can create three different cats by arranging the applique’s elements in different ways. Perhaps you can come up with more than three cats?
I used this black cat crochet pattern to create Cats and a Full Moon crochet applique. And you may also like my Black Cat Granny Square.

Thanks for making the Black Cat pattern available ! It is so simple and so perfect . I added it to a Halloween wreath I made – I added orange cat eyes and a pink nose and whiskers and made it from black velvet with a sparkly gold collar. I love your patterns !
