Round 10. Make surface Sl Sts between rounds 8 and 9. Fasten off, weave in ends.
How to Make Surface Slip Stitches
1. Make a slip knot with Color B;
2. Insert your hook through your work between rounds 8 and 9, from right side to back side;
3. Draw the yarn through to the right side. You have loop on your hook on the right side and working yarn on the wrong side.
4. Insert your hook from the right side to the wrong side through the next space between the stitches, yarn over on the wrong side.
5. Draw the yarn over loop through to the right side and through the loop on your hook (surface slip stitch made).
6. Keep repeating steps 4 and 5 around.
Finishing
Block coaster as needed.
Sew on or use a hot glue gun to attach a decorative button, positioning it to cover the join of round 10. If you choose to glue the button on and it has a shank, remove the shank first with wire cutters.

I hope you enjoyed this free crochet pattern for a gingerbread coaster!
Happy Crocheting!
